Project Details
Center Parcs attracts many guests from Scotland already - this site would offer the opportunity to retain their economic impact within Scotland and provide a site closer to home. The site is ideally located within easy driving distance of cities such as Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Why Scotland?
Our villages are pretty much full all year round, and therefore, we strongly believe there is demand for another Center Parcs in the UK.
In addition, the culture and landscape of the Scottish Borders offers us an opportunity to take a different and bold approach by creating our own forest.
This particular site is predominantly open grassland with some woodland areas. We plan to undertake a programme of afforestation, carefully cultivating a woodland which is rich in biodiversity and native species, ensuring it is sympathetic to its surroundings.

Our proposals
The proposed site is just off the A7, north of Hawick and south of Selkirk. It covers 1,000 acres, of which 400 acres will be used for the actual Center Parcs village.
The proposed village will resemble our existing villages and will include up to 700 units of accommodation, including lodges, apartments, Treehouses, Waterside Lodges and Spa Suites, more than 100 indoor and outdoor leisure activities, restaurants and retail outlets, shops, a leisure activity loch, a Local Heritage Centre, an Aqua Sana Forest Spa and the iconic Subtropical Swimming Paradise, all nestled within a carefully created and nurtured woodland.
